I’ve been an educator of mathematics for 15 years now. I absolutely love what I do, but I’m looking to transition out of the classroom. Teaching math has honed my analytical and problem solving skills, my love for all things data related, organizational skills and the excitement I experience when I’m inventing new and exciting ways to introduce material. Integrating technology into my math lessons is also something I love exploring. I’ve become fluent across all Microsoft and Google applications as well. My goal is to successfully transition into the corporate environment, using the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired as a math teacher, possibly working in the area of curriculum and instructional design. However, I am open to any opportunities and absolutely love learning new skills!
Experience
I currently teach 7th and 8th grade math. My responsibilities include supervision of students both inside and out of the classroom, mentoring at risk students, assisting in any/all school sponsored activities, planning lessons that meet all required standards and the the learning levels of all students, modifying/accommodations for all lessons and assessments, daily and weekly formative assessments, summative assessments, & maintaining parent contact on a regular basis.
